TVG Horse Racing Network
(1994-1998)

TVG created the first horse racing and home wagering cable channel in the United States.   Horse racing was the only legal betting option from home in the United States.   By providing viewers with a fun and convenient way to watch and bet on horse racing TVG could not only expand horse racing wagering but also access casino, lottery, and bingo players where home wagering was illegal.   TVG successfully obtained five year exclusive rights to most of the major US tracks’ video, Internet, and on-line wagering rights including Churchill Downs, Santa Anita and Gulfstream Park.  It also pioneered legislation, revenue share models, and home wagering technology and IP.  The Company was acquired by News Corp and TCI.   Today it is the largest horse racing network handling over $1 billion in annual transactions.
